1. Overview of the RAMP_P block In PCS 7, RAMP_P implements an analog ramp function function.
(Note: In the PCS 7 V7.1 Advanced Process Library (APL), many function blocks, such as the PID control block, have been integrated with a richer range of ramp control functions. Please refer to the document: "PCS 7 V7" .1 Ramp function in the APL library"
The block number of RAMP_P is FB52, which is called by CFC and is installed in the cyclic interrupt OB (OB30~OB38). Take PCS 7 V7.0 SP3 as an example. As shown in Figure 1, in PCS 7 Library V70, find RAMP_P in CONTROL under Blocks+Templates\Blocks and drag it into the corresponding CFC.
2. RAMP_P block call and basic pin introduction
The RAMP_P function block pin is shown in Figure 2. For more details, select the RAMP_P block and press the F1 key to refer to the online help information.

Pin description:
URLM: ramp up slope
DRLM: ramp down slope
U: Analog input
RATE_OFF: Turn off the ramp function
QLIM_U: Ramp up flag
QLIM_D: Ramp down flag
V: analog ramp output
3. How the RAMP_P function block works
When RATE_OFF=1, the ramp function is turned off, V=U.
When RATE_OFF = 0, the output V will rise or fall with a slope of URLM or DRLM. Take the SP_EXT connection of RAMP_P and CTRL_PID as an example, the current SP_EXT=100;

If the new SP_EXT=200, U=200 of RAMP_P, V output will increase with the slope of URLM=3, QLM_U=1; if new SP_EXT=0, U=0 of RAMP_P, V output will be DRLM=3 For the slope to fall, QLM_D=1.
