Public lighting for LED Shenzhen will be completed by the end of next year

On November 6, 2012, Vice Mayor Chen Hao presided over the joint conference of Shenzhen to promote the application of LED lighting products in the conference room of Shenzhen Civic Center. Zhang Donglei, deputy director of the Development Planning Office of Guangdong Science and Technology Department and director of the Joint Innovation Center of the Semiconductor Lighting Industry of Guangdong Province Qu Shirong attended the meeting.

The meeting mentioned that new lighting projects in the public lighting field in Shenzhen will use LED lighting. The original non-LED lighting will be completed by the end of 2013. The deputy mayor Chen Yu presided over the meeting and the heads of various member units of the LED lighting products promotion conference were joined by various district governments, new district management committees, and municipal direct offices.

It is understood that ordinary incandescent lamps have a lighting life of 1,000 to 3,000 hours, and LED lighting time can theoretically reach 6 to 100,000 hours. Lu Jian, director of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee, revealed that LED lighting will be replaced first in subways and tunnels. According to statistics, the number of replacements of government lighting systems is more than 500,000. LED lighting will realize the transformation project energy saving over 50% under the same caliber. Through the "contract energy management model", the government can save a lot of electricity, with relatively low energy consumption to stimulate the development of related industries. At present, the scale of LED-related industries in our city is about 70 billion yuan. In 2015, we expect to achieve an annual output value of more than 130 billion yuan.
