On December 2nd, Ding Luning, CTO of IGRS Information Technology Engineering Center, gave a keynote speech on "Multi-modal networking technology standards and landing prospects" at the Smart Internet Sub-forum of the 3rd IoT Conference hosted by e-sports enthusiasts.
Ding pointed out that in the Internet of Things era, users expect the connection + intelligent life. But to get out of the misunderstanding, Internet + IoT equipment is not equal to intelligence, consumers' demands for smart life are far from simple "functionality". High-end technology-based intelligent technology has brought new opportunities to the industry. Consumers hope that devices will be smarter. Know your own characteristics, greener, save energy when people are resting, and operate conveniently, not just through the mobile app or remote control.
People are eager to recognize actions by voice or gestures, and objects can identify their needs. Example: When you get up from the morning, all work and life will involve the dependence of smart devices, auto-driving, road tracking, and all applications involve product and protocol requirements. In 2020, more than 20 billion devices will access the Internet of Things.
At present, some typical intelligent pain points need to be solved urgently by users and industry: 1. The operation of home appliances is complicated and lacks a relatively intuitive and simple mobile phone operation interface; 2. The user/device data collection and analysis is not in place, and the product is sold to the user. The information such as the usage habits of the equipment is not known, and the most suitable value-added service cannot be pushed for the customer. 3. When the equipment fails, the fault warning, diagnosis and maintenance information cannot be directly notified to the user; 4. Power saving management, equipment power consumption Modes where information is lacking transparency and there is no power saving management can be chosen.
The standard developed by IGRS is the application layer protocol, three characteristics: intelligent interconnection, collaborative sharing, and intelligent services. IGRS member companies reach 240, covering all aspects of chips, components, modules, design and manufacturing, system software, IT services, design consulting, etc. in the 3C electronics industry chain, and in home appliances, audio, education, medical, communications And so on a wide range of industries.
Ding Luning, CTO of IGRS Information Technology Engineering Center, said that IGRS is a new type of industry organization that leads the development of smart cities by standards. It sets standards and promotes smart terminals, smart education, smart home, smart audio, smart home appliances and smart lighting. Vertical integration of production, research and research in the five industrial chains.
