The Ministry of Commerce studies and formulates e-commerce policies and industry standards

At present, the Ministry of Commerce is stepping up efforts to study and formulate such regulations and policies as the "Administrative Measures on Online Transactions", "Protection Measures on Online Business Data", "Guidance on the Construction of E-commerce Credits," and "Electronic Commerce Statistics Management Measures". Guidance documents, and industry standards such as Electronic Contract Standards, E-commerce Enterprise Standards, and E-commerce Statistical Indicators.

At the "China E-commerce Growth Summit Forum" held here, Li Jinqi said that the rapid development of China's e-commerce has gradually become an important social and economic form. According to statistics, the total amount of e-commerce transactions in China exceeded RMB 4 trillion in 2010, and the total retail volume of online networks was nearly RMB 500 billion, accounting for about 3% of the total retail sales of consumer goods in the same year.

Li Jinqi said that the Ministry of Commerce is constantly working to improve the e-commerce development environment. In April this year, the Ministry of Commerce issued the "Standards for Third-Party E-Commerce Trading Platform Services". This is a series of policy guidance since the issuance of the "Guiding Opinions on Online Transactions (Interim)" and "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Healthy Development of Online Shopping." After the documents and industry standards, the Ministry of Commerce has taken yet another step to create an e-commerce policy legal environment and promote the development of e-commerce health standards.

In addition, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Public Security initiated the online shopping field to crack down on infringement of intellectual property rights and manufacture and sale of counterfeit and shoddy goods in a timely manner in accordance with the unified deployment of the National Leading Group for Combating Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights and the Production and Sale of Counterfeit and Counterfeit Goods. Sexual achievements, exposure and investigation of a number of online shopping areas infringement and counterfeiting criminal cases, to a certain extent, shocked the Internet shopping field crimes.
