One: High-efficiency white LED driver powers up to 10 LEDs with a 32:1 dimming ratio
Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LT3593, a high efficiency constant current white LED driver in a 2mm x 2mm DFN (or ThinSOT) package. The device features a unique high-side LED current-sensing topology that allows the LED cathode to be directly grounded to form a single-wire current source. In addition, a digital control pin provides “one-size-fits-all†LED dimming with up to 32:1 dimming ratio. The LT3593 drives up to 10 white LEDs with more than 80% efficiency with a single-cell Li-Ion battery. It operates from an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and is optimized for single-cell Li-Ion and multi-cell alkaline/NiCd/NiMH battery power supplies. Its 1MHz constant switching frequency allows the use of tiny and flat inductors and capacitors while keeping input and output noise low and well controlled. High efficiency, low noise, and minimal overall solution footprint make the LT3593 ideal for handheld applications that require backlighting with up to 10 white LEDs.
By acting as a constant current source and delivering the same current to each white LED, the LT3593 ensures the brightness of each LED without being affected by LED forward voltage drop fluctuations due to temperature, manufacturing tolerances, and aging conditions. And change. The LT3593 provides 32:1 linear brightness control with a single-wire digital serial interface. Other features include output disconnect during shutdown, LED open circuit protection, and ±5% reference accuracy.
The LT3593 is available in a 6-lead 2mm x 2mm DFN package or a ThinSOT package.

Antenk PLCC connectors Series Sockets are low profile, thin wall sockets designed to convert plastic leaded chips to a thru-hole PCB format on a .100" centerline grid.Antenk's superior precision stamped contact design provides consistent, high retention contacts for all size chips.
PLCC Connectors -PLCCSockets
A PLCC socket is a component that connects a chip carrier to an electronic circuit via surface-mounting or through-hole technology.
Plastic leaded chip carriers (PLCCs) are used in surface-mount technology where electronic circuits are produced, and components need to be mounted or placed directly onto a printed circuit board (PCB). The chip carrier is placed in a PLCC socket, which is either surface-mounted or features through-hole technology. A specialised tool called a PLCC extractor is needed to remove the chip carrier from the PLCC socket.
What are PLCC sockets used for?
PLCC sockets are used in surface-mount device (SMD) and surface-mount technology (SMT) applications. PLCC sockets made of heavy gauge copper alloy are compatible in high shock / high vibration applications. PLCC sockets made of rolled-leaf copper are useful in low-cost computer applications.
Types of PLCC sockets
The two primary categories of PLCC sockets are:
Surface-mount PLCC sockets, which are used in devices sensitive to heat from the reflow process. These allow for component replacement without redesigning or reworking the entire PCB.
Through-hole technology PLCC sockets are necessary when a device requires stand-alone programming with flash drives or memory devices. These are also beneficial for prototyping activities where wire wrapping is required.
