On September 29th, GE Lighting officially released a statement of negotiating results with dealers after 10 days of early cancellation of the dealers in China. This is the second official statement by GE Lighting after the internal promotion of commercial activities in Asia and China.
According to the statement, GE Lighting attaches great importance to the recent concerns of some distributors regarding GE Lighting's follow-up arrangements for the termination of business activities in Asia. GE Lighting's global chief operating officer rushed to China in the first time to listen to the dealer's specific demands. On the basis of fairness and impartiality, the Chinese team has defined the following principles for follow-up arrangements to support the smooth transition of dealer business:
1. As previously communicated with the distributor, GE Lighting will fulfill all of the initial warranty commitments for the product until the end of the after-sales warranty period;
2. Will help the dealer to complete the customer order that has won the bid and signed the contract before November 30, 2016. Since the situation of each dealer is different, it will follow up with the dealer one by one, and provide targeted support according to the specific situation;
3. For the dealer's existing inventory, follow up with the dealer one by one, and provide targeted support according to the contract and specific circumstances.
In order to fulfill the above commitments, GE Lighting has set up a dedicated work team to provide strong support to dealers. We believe that through open communication and sincere cooperation with distributors, we will properly handle issues related to the transition period.
From September 1st, the media exposed the internal letter of GE Lighting CEO Bill Lacey to the company's employees. On September 18th, GE China market dealers issued a joint statement to protest, GE's withdrawal from the Chinese market incident was full of enthusiasm.
Under pressure, GE Lighting released its first official statement on the official website five days after the distributor's joint statement.
According to the statement, GE Lighting announced the termination of its business activities in Asia at the end of August 2016 based on business considerations. This is a very difficult decision.

In response to the specific demands put forward by some dealers, we attach great importance to and are actively communicating to ensure that consensus on the issues of concern to distributors is reached on the basis of fairness and fairness.

But it is clear that the changes from GE Lighting to GE's terminology have shown that at least the lighting business in China is no longer the core business of GE.

Types of IC Sockets
DIL /DIP– Dual in-line. These have two parallel rows of pins, available in various numbers to match the relevant IC and are normally very cost effective. A larger socket can be created by placing two smaller ones together, end-to-end, e.g. two 8-pins become 16-pin.

SIMM – Single In-line Memory Module. These have a single row of pins which connect memory modules to circuit boards. They are space saving and can be installed at predetermined angles with positive polarisation to prevent memory modules from being inserted incorrectly. They are used mainly in older computers dating from the 1980s to late 1990s. Available in various sizes and number of pins.
