According to statistics released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on January 30, China's software industry realized business income of 1,338.4 billion yuan in 2010, an increase of 31% year-on-year, accounting for 18% of the electronic information industry.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the average growth rate of the domestic software industry during the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†period was 28%, and the income growth slowed down. The software industry began to shift from high-speed growth to a relatively stable new phase, but revenue growth in 2010 was still significantly faster than 2009. In the year, the number of incomes and the growth rate showed an upward trend from season to season.
In 2010, service revenue growth led to the adjustment of software business, especially the development of network-related information services.
Among them, information technology consulting services and information technology value-added service income were 1,233 and 217.8 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 37.2% and 44.6% year-on-year. Revenue from software products was RMB 420.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%; embedded system software was affected by the slowdown in the growth of communications products, with a revenue of RMB 224.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.1%, and 16.2% lower than that of the entire industry. Driven by the recovery of the integrated circuit industry and the growth of the software outsourcing market, the design and development achieved revenue of 59.3 billion yuan, an increase of 73.1% year-on-year; system integration and support services realized revenue of 291 billion yuan, an increase of 31.8%.
In 2010, the top 100 software companies monitored by the Ministry of Industry and Technology had accumulated 290 billion yuan in software business revenues, an increase of 21% year-on-year, accounting for 21.7% of the country's total revenue, and a profit of 55.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13%. Among them, there are 4 companies with software business revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan, which is one more than last year.
In the regional distribution of the domestic software industry, a decentralized and centralized pattern has emerged, and the central city has become a gathering point for industry development. The trend of development of the software industry from the past mainly concentrated in the Beijing-Guangdong area to the coastal areas.
