A drive device is used to move a material, a workpiece, or a tool to a specified position along a straight line or curve.
The positioning drive system can be optimally configured by selecting the appropriate physical parameters (such as lead screw pitch, diameter, pulley/belt drive index, etc.). System selection depends on the quality of the accelerating object, the moment of inertia and the motion profile.
If the drive system requires high positioning accuracy and repeatability, a small backlash reducer (LENZE GPA servo planetary reducer series) or direct drive can be used.
Selecting the proper position detection encoder is very important for positioning the drive system. Here we use an encoder or resolver and use it with servo controllers (LENZE9300 servo series, L-force 9400 series servo drive series) and servo motors (LENZE MCS and MCA series). If you use a multi-turn absolute encoder, you do not need to reference the zero point. The built-in positioning control function automatically realizes the entire positioning process according to the specified position. The main controller is not required. The position parameter can be set only by using the PLC control command.
